Ronélle Muller
STUDENT ASSESSOR
WhanganuiRonélle has worked in both New Zealand and South Africa for a number of years as a secondary school teacher and as a lecturer at a teachers’ training college. Further studies also led Ronélle into the areas of psychology, specialising in psychometric testing, and a master’s study in pastoral counselling.
Ronélle has been tutoring students with diagnosed learning difficulties since 2001 and now specialises as our Student Assessor at STARS Education, identifying each student’s unique set of strengths and challenges.

Esther Williams
TUTOR
WhanganuiHaving trained in Specific Learning Disabilities, Esther has taught many students from 6 years old to adults. Esther regularly attends conferences and actively furthers her skills on learning difficulties through evidence-based research and courses.
Esther has a background in primary school education.

Wilma Glassey
TUTOR
Palmerston NorthWilma has significant experience in education having taught in schools for over 40 years as both a teacher, Reading Recovery teacher, and overseeing teachers as a school Principal.
Wilma is trained in Learning and Disabilities education, particularly reading, and has been tutoring students from 6-16 year olds including NCEA level English preparation for many years.

Alice Jonker
TUTOR
WhanganuiAlice has taught at both primary and secondary school levels in New Zealand and South Africa for over 33 years. Most recently Alice has worked as a specialist teacher for Arahunga Special School in Whanganui with adult students aged 19-21 years.
Alice trained in Learning Difficulties through SPELD in 2010 and has been tutoring students from 6 year olds to secondary school level to overcome learning difficulties and achieve their best.

After a number of roles in business and banking in both Australia and New Zealand, Lois is now retired and proud to be the Treasurer of Stars Education Whanganui

Lindsay Middlemiss
PARENT REPRESENTATIVE
Looking for help for his son Ryan, brought Lindsay in contact with STARS Education and very soon Ryan had an assessment, then began regular tuition sessions to improve his reading, writing and comprehension skills.
As a Parent Representative, Lindsay has attended STARS Education’s monthly committee meetings since 2016.
Lindsay counts it a privilege to play a small part in an organisation which strives to bring the best out of each individual student and give them the tools to reach their educational goals.
